Just one kilometer from Waterford City, Killure Bridge Nursing Home overlooks the picturesque stone bridge at Killure. Nestled in stunning countryside en route to the Waterford Airport, the view from the Nursing Home takes in the beautiful woodlands of Ballinamona Estate.
Beautifully situated on 4 acres in elegant surroundings, Killure Bridge Nursing Home opened in December 2004. The area Killure, Cill Iubair, means “Church of the Yew tree”. Killure Bridge Nursing Home aim to provide quality care in a homely environment. We focus on promoting independence, respecting the dignity and individuality of each Resident and facilitating Residents and Families to participate in decision making regarding care. To comply with the Health Act 2007, The Care & Welfare Regulations 2009, and The Health Information and Quality Authority Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People in Ireland and all other relevant legislation and standards. We strive for excellence in all our actions and our vision is to be recognised as the leader in providing quality Residential care focusing on the unique needs of the Residents and their families.
Director of Care, Clinical Nurse Managers, 24 hr Nursing Care, Healthcare Assistants, Cooks and Ancillary staff. All care staff within Killure Bridge Nursing Home are appropriately qualified to deliver the highest standards of care. A continuous staff training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with the latest initiatives and developments in care practices and as set out by HIQA. Continued Professional Development is paramount for staff.
